Go Cabin Vacation Property Management, operating under the brand The Cabins at Terrace Beach, is a small, locally owned property management company established in 2002 in beautiful Ucluelet, on Vancouver Island, BC. Canada

Our vacation rentals located on 7.7 acers of private waterfront property offer three types of accommodation:

  • Signature Oceanfront Cabins
  • Cozy BC Timber Frame Rainforest Cabins
  • Deluxe King Suites in our Lodge

Our small, caring team has been managing vacation rental properties and providing exceptional guest experiences since 2002. We’re pleased you chose to spend your West Coast time with us. Guest Agreement

Here at The Cabins, we’re pretty chill and we hope you are too. That said, we do ask all guests to treat the cabins, the land, fellow guests, and our staff with respect.

By making a reservation, you agree to this Guest Agreement and to uphold Cabin Nation Culture throughout your stay.

Guest Services Hours:
10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Pacific Standard Time)

Stress-Free Self-Check-In & Self-Check-Out

Self-Check-In

  • Check-in begins at 4:00 PM (Respectfully, early check-ins are not available.)
  • Self-check-in envelopes are located at the Check-In Centre: 1082 Peninsula Road
  • Your envelope includes:
    • Keys
    • A map to your cabin or lodge suite
    • Important stay and checkout information
  • Arrivals after 6:00 PM - no worries, your welcome envelope will be at Self-check-in.


Self-Check-Out

  • Check-out is by 11:00 AM (Respectfully, No late check-outs.)
  • Please follow checkout instructions and return keys to the drop box at the Check-In Centre.

Property Rules & Safety Policies

Absolutely No Smoking

  • All interiors
  • All exterior decks
  • Common areas
  • Parking areas
  • This includes e-cigarettes and vape pens.

We do offer two allocated smoking areas on the property.

Fire Risk & Safety

  • Smoke detection systems are highly sensitive.
  • No candles or open flames are permitted.
  • Triggered alarms automatically notify the Fire Department and disrupt other guests.

No Propane Fire Pits on Decks

  • Propane fire pits are strictly prohibited on all decks due to safety and building code requirements.

Lodge Guests – No Cooking Devices

For safety reasons, Lodge Suites may not use cooking devices, including:

  • Portable stoves
  • Hot plates
  • BBQs
  • Toasters
  • Microwaves

Noise

  • Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM.
  • Sound travels easily from decks—please be respectful.

Parking

  • One parking stall per rental unit is guaranteed.
  • Additional vehicles may be accommodated by prior arrangement only and subject to availability.
  • Unauthorized vehicles may be asked to relocate.

Exterior Security Cameras

  • Exterior security cameras are present in outdoor common areas only.
  • No cameras are located inside rental units.

Beach, Campfires & Wildlife

Terrace Beach is a public beach.

  • Campfires:
    • Banned during summer fire bans
    • Permitted in non-summer months only if no fire bans are in effect and in compliance with District of Ucluelet bylaws
      (see: discoverucluelet.com/travel-advisories)
  • Fireworks are not permitted in Ucluelet.
  • Please leave all marine life and plants undisturbed.
  • Store garbage indoors to avoid attracting wildlife.

Housekeeping & Cabin Care
  • All cabin supplies (dishes, bedding, etc.) must remain in the unit.
  • Guests are responsible for washing dishes
    (Deluxe Lodge Suites excluded).
  • Towels are for in-cabin use only.
  • Please leave the cabin tidy and as you found it.

Garbage & Recycling

  • We have three Garage & Recycling Stations on our property and ask guest to use them.
  • Extra garbage bags are available upon request.
  • Recycling must be rinsed before placing items in bins.
  • Glass beverage containers are recyclable in Ucluelet.

Pets

  • We have Four Pets Stations on our property.
  • Pets are welcome in cabins only (no pets in Lodge Suites).
  • Fee: $20 per pet, per night (maximum two pets).
  • Pets must be leashed on common grounds.
  • Guests are responsible for any damage or excessive cleaning.
  • By booking, guests agree to our common-sense pet policy.

Children & Playpens

  • Playpens are limited and not guaranteed.
  • Priority is given to overseas guests.
  • Domestic guests traveling by vehicle are asked to bring their own playpens and child safety equipment.

Lost & Found

  • Items are held for 30 days.
  • Return shipping includes:
    • $20 service fee
    • Canada Post COD charges
  • Once shipped, The Cabins are no longer responsible for the item.

Keys, Damage & Maintenance

  • All issued keys must be returned at check-out.
  • Maintenance issues must be reported within 24 hours.
  • Damage or excessive cleaning may be charged up to 30 days post-departure.


Rental, Booking & Cancellation Policies

Important Information

  • We are a property management company, not a hotel or resort.
  • All rentals include a cleaning fee and service fee unless otherwise specified in a promotional offer.
  • All bookings are non-refundable.
  • Rates are final at time of booking and cannot be retroactively adjusted.

Occupancy

  • Rates are based on 1–2 guests.
  • Additional guests (ages 6+): $20 per night
  • Maximum occupancy:
    • 2-Bedroom Cabins: 6 guests
    • 1-Bedroom Cabins: 4 guests
    • Lodge Suites: 2 adults (21+)

Payments

  • 50% deposit required for bookings made more than 30 days out.
  • Remaining balance charged 30 days prior to arrival.
  • Bookings within 30 days require full payment.
  • Accepted payments: Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, Amex, e-transfer
    (Mastercard Debit not accepted).

Cancellations & Credits

  • Credits (not refunds) will be issued for cancellations outside 30 days.
  • Credits (not refunds) may be issued for cancellations inside 30 days based on resale of the unit.
  • Credits are valid for 5 years and may be gifted.
  • $50 administration fee applies to approved date changes.
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Travel Disruptions

  • Ferry reservations are the guest’s responsibility.
  • No compensation for missed ferries.
  • Road closures or natural disasters preventing access may qualify for a credit voucher with documentation.
  • Power outages and Wi-Fi interruptions are not eligible for compensation.

Liability

Guests agree to indemnify, and hold Go Cabins Vacation Property Management harmless from any claims of personal injury, loss, or damage during their stay. Personal belongings are not insured by the Host.

Currency & Taxes

  • All rates are in Canadian dollars.

Total tax: 16%(5% GST, 8% PST, 3% MRDT)
